FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions)



A student is eligible if:

1. The student is pursuing Diploma, Graduation, or Post-Graduation in a college/institution located in Goa.
2. The institution must be affiliated to Goa University or recognized by Directorate of Higher Education / Directorate of Technical Education or any Government-approved authority.
3. The course must be full-time and should not exceed 5 years in duration.
4. The student must have completed the required qualifying education in Goa:
   • Diploma: Std. X in Goa
   • Graduation: Std. X and XII/Diploma in Goa
   • Post-Graduation: Std. X, XII/Diploma and Graduation in Goa
   (Relaxation is applicable for Graduation from institutes like IIT, NIT, IIM, etc.)
5. The total annual family income (parents/guardian combined) must be less than ₹5,00,000.

The scheme provides reimbursement of eligible fees up to:

• ₹40,000 per annum towards course fees
• Additional ₹5,000 per annum for textbooks/reference books

Eligible fee components include:
Tuition Fees, Registration Fees, Library Fees, Laboratory Fees, Gymkhana Fees, IT Charges, Practical Fees, and other approved charges.

Yes. The student is eligible as long as the education criteria in Goa are met. Income of parents/guardian will be considered irrespective of their location.

No. A student cannot avail similar financial benefits under other Government schemes or scholarships simultaneously. However, the student may choose the scheme most beneficial to them.

The approved amount is directly transferred to the student’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The following documents are required:

• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (X, XII/Diploma, Graduation as applicable)
• Income Certificate issued by Competent Authority
• Proof of admission and Bonafide Certificate from institution
• Fee receipts and certified fee structure
• Bank account details of the student

Applications are submitted online and verified by the institution. They are then reviewed by a Scrutiny Committee and approved based on merit (academic performance) and financial need.
